The image of the modern Russian school has been radically updated over the past decades. Interesting architectural solutions, transformable spaces, co-working spaces - all this is just part of the concept of new schools. Children's creative and personal development takes place here, and the environment is designed to facilitate this process as much as possible. Of course, the design of school spaces, classrooms, halls and recreation areas is a multifaceted task, in which there are no insignificant details. Light here is both a motivating element, an assistant in concentration, and a creator of a comfortable physical and emotional state for children and adults. For the Lighting Technologies team, this project became especially important, because it was necessary to take into account all the requirements of the new Moscow School standard and offer solutions that would ideally fit into the project, both from a technical and aesthetic perspective. For example, in classrooms we used 1200*100 lamps under a 1200*600 cassette ceiling, and the GRILDOT 100x100 W 4000K CRI90 model was ideal for the Grilyato ceilings. By the way, we used this solution for the first time. We also note that many lamp models are unique and were produced specifically for this facility.Work on the project took place in close partnership with the Design and Design Institute of Moscow Power Engineering Institute. “It was important for us to use lamps with high color rendering and low pulsation. At the same time, the models had to fit both the standard design of schools and successfully fit into the non-standard design of spaces. In the Lighting Technologies product line, we have selected solutions that take into account all the features of our project,” notes Dmitry Tuzhilin, head of the power supply systems department at the Design and Design Institute MPEI.“One of the most interesting areas to work in is the building’s hallways. They implemented an unusual architectural solution - hexagonal ceiling slabs. The luminaires used in this space had to not only be suitable in size and take into account the unusual shape of the ceiling, but also provide uniform illumination. We chose the PROFILE 60L P LED model of various lengths for a slatted cube-shaped ceiling. The result was a beautiful and unusual solution,” says Dmitry. We are convinced that harmonious personal development occurs in a beautiful and comfortable space. This is exactly what we, together with the Design and Construction Institute of Moscow Power Engineering Institute, tried to make the school in Khovrino. We hope that every day spent at the new school will bring something useful and joyful to children and adults.
