Astrakhan bridge was opened on the Lenina Street after the completion of the reconstruction on 7 August 2021, on the day of the celebration of the 926th anniversary of Ryazan. The event was attended by the Governor of the Ryazan region Nikolay Lyubimov. During the reconstruction works, the historical appearance of the bridge was preserved. It really brightens the city center. Moreover, there is now a passage under the bridge that connects the two parts of Lybidsky Boulevard into one pedestrian zone. The project was implemented with the support of the regional Government and became one of the long-awaited gifts to all Ryazan residents for the City Day.

Architectural and artistic lighting fixtures helped transform an ordinary overhead road into an art object that immediately became a favorite place for evening walks and photo shoots. Many photos were taken against a backdrop of colored dynamic lighting. The color combinations are not random, but have a specific purpose of syncing with the annual circadian rhythm. Each month offers a different combination of four colors, corresponding to the time of year and the natural color range. ?The project was implemented in the shortest time possible at the request of the Ryazan Administration. Local construction company KMK acted as a contractor.
