task
The project is LEED certified. When offering lighting solutions, we had to take into account the stringent requirements - compliance with all Russian and foreign regulations. One of the tasks was to apply smart lighting control solutions. Limiting glare was one of the most important challenges in the design. It was necessary to comply with measured values of UGR. The goal was to prevent glare from natural light coming in from the windows when the luminaires were turned off. For this purpose, special lighting technology plastic was used in the devices.
solution
There is a centralized lighting control system in the building, which allows to manage lighting according to a predetermined scenario and control energy consumption. All luminaires are controlled via DALI protocol. Local control of lighting is also possible in different locations. All luminaires were fitted with high quality LEDs of the latest CREE and NICHIA series. The light efficiency is more than 130 lm/W. The requirements for high color rendering quality of the light were met. Each luminaire model was adjusted for design parameters and the characteristics of the reflective and diffusive materials to meet the requirements for limiting brightness, UGR.Electronic converters and control systems provide the option to flexibly change the light output over time with automatic control or in manual mode, have no ripple over the entire dimming range and comply with EMC requirements. A large number of laboratories and classrooms are located in the institute. Each laboratory has its own design concept with its own wall colors and finishes. Luminaires were made in the same RAL color as the surfaces of each laboratory.
