Russia, Moscow
Illumination of new buildings of the medical institution was provided taking into account all requirements to create a comfortable environment for patients and medical staff.
Brief description: Complex reconstruction of the National Medical Research Center for Endocrinology (Moscow) started in 2009. The new buildings of the Institute of Pediatric Endocrinology for 200 beds were built from scratch. The endocrinology center includes two new buildings with a total area of more than 40,000 sqm. This is a nine-storey building with wards, laboratories and a polyclinic, and a six-storey ancillary building with a modern hall for international conferences, a dormitory for relatives of young patients from other cities, an independent power unit, an underground parking and administrative offices. The task was to create a pleasant, quiet atmosphere, which is good for the patients' emotional state and takes into account the needs of the medical personnel. The ability to adjust the light in the rooms allows patients to create a comfortable atmosphere for themselves. On the other hand, the lighting fixtures must comply with the design concept of the facility as a modern scientific, therapeutic and diagnostic center, capable of providing medical care to children with various diseases of the endocrine system at the world standard level. Some of the used luminaires include: OWP, BH, NBU, ALS, and OPM/R. As result, both buildings were designed with Lighting Technologies devices. The project was developed in accordance with all existing standards. Devices with fluorescent lamps were used.
