Kolomna Speed Skating Center in the Moscow region is one of the world's best sports complexes and a landmark of Kolomna. For three seasons, the Center ranks 5th in the rating of the fastest rinks in the world and 1st among Russian rinks. The Kolomna sports complex is the official training center for the Russian national speed skating teams for the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi. The Kolomna center hosted: the Moscow Region Speed Skating Championship, the Russian Cup among Veterans (sprint speed skating), the Russian Junior Speed Skating Cup, the "Our Hope's Ice" All-Russian Speed Skating Competition, the "Silver Skates" All-Russian Competition (younger age) and the Russian Speed Skating Cups.
